Condominium

Learn about the various options on the market to protect your building, its fractions, and common areas.

It is insurance that can be taken out for:

a) Totality of the property (the entire property is insured under the same policy) with great advantages.

b) Part of the property (only some of the fractions are insured - minimum 50% of the fractions). It is an insurance that keeps many of the advantages of having almost only one policy for the whole property. Common when one or more condominium members want to stay out of the condominium insurance.

c) Common Parts - Insures the common parts of the property as well as problems that originate in that part of the building, such as plumbing, roofing, and other common parts.

Care should be taken to insure according to the rebuilding value for the walls or the replacement value in new for the filling.
